When you register as a GUIDES website user, you create your own profile. Your user name will not be visible to other registered users. Profile information is used by the GUIDES project to provide you access to its website.
In addition, the GUIDES project will use your personal information to:
- administer your profile with us;
- provide you with notification of website information;
- resolve technical issues that may arise;
- provide you with the opportunity to give us feedback about the platform.
All information that you provide via the GUIDES website (e.g. completed checklist on the website) are private and can only be shared by the individual that invited you to complete a GUIDES checklist project on the website, i.e. by URL or PDF.

The web site monitors access to the site for the purpose of system administration usage monitoring. This employs “cookies”. A cookie is a message given to a web browser by a web server. The message is then stored by the browser in a text file called cookie.txt. Every time the browser obtains a page from the server this cookie message is sent back. A cookie can be used to identify users and personalise their visit by customising web pages for them.
As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.
Your use of the GUIDES website signifies your agreement to these terms.
